EXAMINING SOCIAL ADJUSTMENT OF COLLEGE STUDENT-ATHLETES

The college experience is an important aspect of a student’s success in college. For student-athletes, there are additional pressures to maintain eligibility while competing their sport. This study examines the social adjustment student-athletes at Division II level. research explores differences that might exist and non-athletes area adjustment. In addition, between males females considered. this study, 138 Student Adaptation College Questionnaires (SACQ) were completed by two regional universities Oklahoma. Only scores analyzed identify student-athletes. Findings revealed gender athletic status strongly associated with Implications recommendations for future discussed.
